Challenging the ‘Social Death’ of Incarcerated People Through Storytelling and Advocacy

The objective of this paper is to understand the impact incarceration and potential reduce its unintended residual effects through initiatives a non-profit humanitarian organisation called Humans San Quentin (HoSQ). Using critical methodological approach supported by established academic scholarship we argue that social death occurs as consequence suffering pains imprisonment. results also indicated HoSQ creates counter-current some degree ameliorates imprisonment establishing platform for incarcerated people convey their stories.
